  • You’ve got the vision, you’ve got the property, and we’ve got the resources.

  • Schedule a meeting with us and we can talk through the details of your dream project.

  • Through using our pricing software (Bolster Built), we can get you the most accurate price that it will take for you to build your dream home. You can change your finish levels (silver, gold, and platinum) to suit your budgetary needs. When you are happy with your price, we meet up to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

  • We will begin the build process keeping you closely attune to decisions and choices made during the build. This is where open and honest conversation is vital.

  • Once the final bills are paid, and permits are given, you are given the keys to your beautiful home and get to move in!

  • We provide a builders warranty with each project and we will go over it with you in detail at the start of the project.

Whether you're working with our designers or your own, we collaborate closely to provide preliminary pricing once initial plans are complete. Once the budget is confirmed, the designer proceeds with final permit drawings. This proactive step ensures your home remains both inspiring and financially achievable—while saving everyone time, money, and unnecessary stress.

  • Mesa was founded in 2011. Frank Ratzlaff, the founder, has been doing construction related business since 1973.

  • Yes, we are fully licensed and insured and documentation is available upon request.  Larger commercial projects may require different coverage depending on the scope of work and budget. These extra insurance policies are purchased on a project by project basis.

  • At Mesa, we use cutting-edge pricing software (Bolster) that gives you real-time, transparent costs for your custom home—from permits and excavation to finishes and fixtures. This means no vague estimates or post-design surprises. You’ll work with your designer to create a home you love, while knowing exactly what fits your budget every step of the way. It’s honest, personalized, and designed to save you time, money, and stress.

  • We are members of BC's original new home warranty provider. We are a National Home Warranty Member.

  • Custom home builds typically take 10-12 months, but larger or more complex projects may require additional time. Factors such as extra outbuildings or inclement weather may also extend the timeline. Fortunately, our moderate climate allows us to build your dream home year-round, no matter the season.

  • Absolutely! We offer a free, in-person visit, to discuss your project.

  • We build custom homes anywhere in B.C., from Whistler to the Okanagan.

  • Whether you need assistance from the design and planning stage or prefer to bring your own plans, we are prepared to help you every step of the way.

  • Yes, we do. We have a great working relationship with Air Tight Solutions. They provide us with the energy modelling, and testing required to have your home as energy efficient as the budget allows. This can be from very inexpensive energy saving ideas that we can discuss with you, or right up to building Passive & Net Zero Homes.

  • When it comes to custom homes, the homeowner is typically responsible for applying and paying for the necessary building permit, with guidance from their designer and the city. While we can assist in this process, we do charge a consulting fee based on the scope of the project.
